		<description><![CDATA[Stanford alum and former Palo Alto resident here, now living in southeast Utah. Thanks for the reminder of the old Chimera. (Wasn&#039;t there a bathtub with a giant fern?) I spent many happy hours browsing there. About the idea of bookstores &quot;constantly&quot; in contact with their customers, I agree that they might want to back off a little. I think the national parks and visitor associations in my area are trying to figure out a balance: enough social media to build a sense of community, especially with people who are far away but hold the place in their hearts--but not so much as to create a sense of busyness that undermines the quietness of these natural areas.]]></description>
